Kat met een enorme rhinitis: Dierenkliniek Goeree Overflakkee

Een Main Coon kat, 9 mnd, werd aangeboden met een rhinits (= neusontsteking), waarbij de kat erg benauwd was. Een eerder toegediend antibioticum van 3 weken had geen resultaat gegeven. Nu werd er een scopie gedaan van de neus, keel en luchtpijp. In de video wordt snel duidelijk dat het om een smerige neusontsteking gaat, waarbij de pus zich achter in de keel al ophoopt en zichtbaar is. Bij de scopie van de neus is duidelijk zichtbaar de purulente neusuitvloeiing en de aantasting van het neusslijmvlies. De kat is behandeld met een antibioticum op basis van een bacterie kweek en een antibiogram en na 3 weken was de kat volledig hersteld
